They extubated Olivia! Now she does not have to be intubated any
longer; she now has two prongs in her nostrils that help her breath if
necessary. It is so nice to see her
without the big holder on her face, now she just has a tube under her
nose. She was sleeping when we went to
visit her tonight; she woke up a little during the hands on but went right back
to sleep. Breathing on your own is hard
work! She was pooped and needed rest; that is okay by me. I am finding that she loves to do one specific
thing to us; she likes to wait until we change her diaper and clean her all up
to give a huge poop. It does not matter
how much we move her and pretend to change it and wait… she knows when a fresh
diaper is under her. At least she has a
sense of humor ;-). Her hemoglobin was
low so she needed another transfusion today; other than that she is doing
well. This little fighter is going to go
all the way. I thank God every day for
such an inspirational little girl.
It is so wonderful to read about the progress Olivia is making! God is good. :-)
